Street food mania has blown up in Atlanta lately and I’ve been following the latest food trend for a couple of months. It just amazes me the crowds that come out and support these food artisans and I have to admit that I would like to get in on that action as well.
Last week, I was able to attend a Street Food Summit, put together by the Atlanta Street Food Coalition, in a way to bring the people who regulate and enforce the street food community to the people who are already involved or who would like to see the street food vendors flourish in this city.

The panel consisted of: Atlanta City Council member Kwanza Hall, Fulton County Commissioner Joan Garner, Deputy Director Fulton County Health Services Kevin Jones, Major Christopher Leighty and Sargeant Edward Davis, both from the Atlanta Police Department.
